Year of Projects: Year 8 Week 2

January 15, 2019 | Comments

Year of Projects Year of Projects is a group on Ravelry where members share and update each other on the progress of their knitting, crochet, cross stitch, or other crafty projects. This week was slow and brutal, being the first full week back at work. I struggled getting through the week. On Thursday I went out for chicken bites with some people. I love chicken bites.

WIP Wednesday: Tin Can Knits Wheat

January 9, 2019 | Comments

WIP stands for a “work in progress.” As an avid crafter, I always have at least one WIP! Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Solids (Aran Fleck) Pattern: Wheat Wheat I’ve tried to make this scarf so many times! It’s a good beginner scarf, I’ve heard. Just vanilla knit and purls (is all knitting just knits and purls? I’m still a newbie knitter).

Yarn Haul #9 and #10: Gina Brown’s and STASH Lounge

January 6, 2019 | Comments

It’s been a while since my yarn haul post. Admittedly, I have done some yarn hauls since I last posted. But what better way to start the new year with my latest two trips? This year, I am going to try my darndest to not buy more yarn. My cousin is expecting a baby soon and she asked me to knit a blanket and a hat for the baby so I know I will have to buy yarn for that (I don’t want to use my cheap yarn for a newborn).

Year of Projects: Year 8 Week 1

Year of Projects Year of Projects is a group on Ravelry where members share and update each other on the progress of their knitting, crochet, cross stitch, or other crafty projects. 2019 I joined this group mostly because I wanted to kick my butt into gear and actually destash. I have a lot of yarn that is slowly being chipped away at. I also have a lot of works in progress that I should either finish up or frog (discard).

I’m a Little Behind

August 3, 2017 | Comments

A couple of days ago I was behind on my granny squares for my temperature blanket. If you don’t know, temperature blankets consist of one square a day and each square represents the temperature of that day. Thankfully, it’s easy to catch up with temperature blankets! Even though I’m caught up with the squares, I still haven’t woven the ends in yet nor have I joined them. Eek! Last week I was babysitting my little cousin and he was playing with my yarn.
