Spotify Wrapped 2020

December 10, 2020 | Comments

Day 7 of 100 Days to Offload I always look forward to the Spotify Wrapped at the end of the year. The statistics Spotify gives aren’t 100% accurate, since there are songs I listen to outside of Spotify (I have last.fm to keep track of those) but the little infographics Spotify gives are quite cute. This year I was admittedly a little bugged at the fact that I had to see the Spotify Wrapped on the app.

Shocking Blue

November 29, 2020 | Comments

Day 6 of 100 Days to Offload Shocking Blue, my virtual Venus flytrap I joined the tildeverse recently. My homepage lives on tilde.club. I picked tilde.club because it was the very first tildeverse site I stumbled upon (via a Reddit link while looking for help on something although I don’t remember what) and I liked the colour scheme (orange is my favourite colour). What drew me to the tildeverse was the cool retro vibe.

+5 STAR+

Day 4 of 100 Days to Offload Content Warning: Topic is mental health One of my favourite K-pop artists recently came out with a song, +5 STAR+. It’s definitely a feel good bop. It’s a cute song that’s easy to sing along to. I added it to my “body reacts” playlists, the playlist with songs that usually guarantee me singing along to it. Then I realized that despite the singability of the songs on the playlist, not a lot of the songs have positive vibes.

Every Time the Sun Comes Up I'm in Trouble

I get really into The Stampede, a 10 (?) day long cowboy fest in my city . I woke up to the sounds of a pancake breakfast happening literally a block away at my community’s association hall. I think Stampede is the only time I can tolerate country music. I just get so into the festivities. Maybe it’s because this is a vegan stampede breakfast but the soundtrack to today’s breakfast is banging.

Spotify No Longer Scrobbles Local Files

January 24, 2019 | Comments

Spotify 'Cares' confirms local file scrobbling is no longer a thing If you know me, I am obsessive with stats and numbers. I keep track of my music listening on Last.fm. However, the last time I checked my profile, I noticed that Spotify wasn’t tracking my listens correctly. I combined my personal library that I’ve curated over the years (over 3,000 songs of mostly Japanese music) with the songs I’ve saved in the Spotify catalogue.
